The TTARA Research Foundation is dedicated to advancing sound tax and fiscal policy through research and education. Our mission is to promote nonpartisan research and education on tax and fiscal policy that supports a strong economy in Texas.
What We Do
The TTARA Research Foundation conducts in-depth research on the law, policy and economics of the tax systems and spending programs of state and local governments in Texas, with the goal of promoting a vibrant economy and an efficient, stable tax system. We partner with leading academic institutions and research organizations to ensure our research incorporates the latest knowledge, data and methods in law, policy and economics. We publish clear, accessible research reports and policy briefs to inform a wide audience, and our events bring policymakers, business leaders, and citizens together for conversations about tax and fiscal policy. As a nonpartisan resource, we support media, legislators, and communities with facts—not agendas—helping to elevate the public conversation.
