Director of Public Affairs, Vistra Corp
Eric Padilla is the Director of Public Affairs for Vistra Corp, a fortune 500 integrated retail electricity and power generation company based in Irving, Texas. In this role Mr. Padilla is responsible for Vistra’s state legislative policy analysis and advocacy with a particular focus on topics relating to competitive electricity markets, customer protections, power generation, grid resiliency & reliability, cybersecurity, tax policy, among others. Prior to this role, Mr. Padilla worked as a Project Manager within the TXU Energy business of Vistra Corp. Prior to Vistra Mr. Padilla performed roles at various companies as a Project Manager, Technical Account Manager, Business Analyst, Software Designer, Consultant, and Professional Cook. Mr. Padilla holds a degree in European History from DePauw University and is a graduate of St. Mark’s School of Texas. Mr. Padilla lives in Arlington, TX, with his wife, two wonderful daughters, and a plethora of pets.
